FAQ
Here are common questions I get regarding my services, policies and booking.
I need a haircut, and don’t know what to book.
Answer: If you are a new client to me, it is mandatory to book a new client service for haircuts. Ladies Classic is for those straight or wear it straight. Deva Cuts are for curly hair. I do not bend on this anymore, as it creates problems.
I don’t want to add my credit card information to book. Can you book me?
Answer: NO! With the years of experience behind the chair, there’s also experience in those with no accountability. I do not take credit card numbers over the phone, I do not want to any ties to that information personally. I do not see your credit card number at all when you input it yourself.
I have curly hair, I just don’t want to pay your curly hair price. Can you just charge me for a regular ladies cut?
Answer: NO! Each service is priced with time, product, and the financial cost of the certification. Timing for curly cuts are different than classic straight cuts. Please do not book the cheapest appointment, and expect the highest. It will not work out.
Do you offer discounts for New Clients?
Answer: Unfortunately, no. However, after the initial appointments, and we agree on plan, the cost is significantly less. I do offer discounts as a thank you to my loyal clients for prebooking and referrals.
Why do you have so many policies?
Answer: Each policy is a result of a mistake or an issue. Just like warning stickers to not eat tide pods. These create a clear understanding of how to make your appointment the best appointment ever! If you are late only by 5 min, this can snowball into an hour and half over work schedule by the end of the day. This will cause me issues with clients after you and with my outside of work responsibilities as well. If you come in with dirty hair for a color (especially gray coverage or blonding) my color will not process correctly. If I have to correct it, that costs extra money out of pocket, which is something you will pay for. (P.S-I’m not a mean person, I’m a business person. I’ve made many mistakes that have cost me clients that I really cared about because I was not so forthcoming for fear of sounding mean or rude. I truly am a empath, and I will analyze everything first.) Look at these policies as directions to use your phone. It’s a system that needs to function properly with correct commands.
I don’t know what color service to book.
Answer: This one is a tricky one, even for me. When it comes to any chemical services, this is a case by case situation. It’s ALWAYS important to book a consultation if you have not seen me for color before. Returning customers: A) Prebooking is key. It takes that stress right off. B) You should be able to see what your past appointments were in your account. C) If not, I’m happy to answer that for you. If you need a change in style, we should definitely talk about it first.
I booked a consultation just to learn how to apply products to my hair, I don’t need a cut.
Answer: Consultations are 10 min long. I won’t be able to teach you in 10 min. Nor will I do it for free. This is my business, and should be recognized as such. We could do a service that will do just that, as my teachings are hands on. Coming soon there will be courses for you to purchase to address that need for you in home and in person.
“Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.”
I've gathered so many valuable lessons. One thing that truly stands out is the importance of showing respect and compassion, regardless of whether we agree with others or not. It's this kindness that nurtures peace within each and every one of us.
